The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that the curve of the Corona pandemic is escalating in a “frightening” manner in the Kingdom, warning against non-compliance with implementing precautionary measures and failure to receive anti-Corona vaccines.
The ministry’s spokesman, Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, said in a press conference that “the health conditions in the Kingdom are subject to follow-up and evaluation, in light of the continuing Corona pandemic worldwide.”
He added, “The epidemiological curve index of Corona virus infections is still rising significantly and frighteningly, and it may take us back to days that we do not want to return to if we do not commit to implementing precautionary measures and speeding up receiving vaccines.”
He indicated that what is necessary will be submitted to the authorities in the event of a need to tighten precautionary measures at the level of cities, governorates and regions, noting that this depends on the extent to which precautionary measures and preventive measures are applied.
He pointed out that starting from February 2, receiving the booster dose of the Corona vaccine will be a condition for the continuation of the “immune” condition in the “Tawakulna” application for everyone who spent 8 months or more on receiving the second dose, for the age group 18 years and over.
He explained that the emergence of a “fortified” status in “Tawakulna” will be a condition for entering any economic, commercial, cultural, sports or tourism activity, or entering any cultural, scientific, social or recreational event, and any governmental or private establishment, whether for business performance or auditing, or Ride on planes and transportation.
