The Prime Minister of Finland has asked that she be judged for her work at the head of the Government and not for what she does in her private life: “Sometimes I miss joy and fun”
The Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, has justified this Wednesday the celebration of parties and, after the appearance of several videos and photographs, has asked that he be judged for his work at the head of the Government and not for what he does in his life private.
“I am human and sometimes I miss joy, fun and light in the midst of these dark clouds,” said Marin on the verge of tears, during a meeting of her formation, the Social Democratic Party, in which her colleagues have reacted with a standing ovation to his sincerity.
The 36-year-old president has acknowledged that the last few days have not been easy, but has insisted that she continues to do her job “as well as ever.” “I haven’t missed a single day of work and I haven’t left anything undone,” she warned.
Marin underwent a drug test last week -which has been negative- as a result of the dissemination of some videos in which he appeared dancing with some friends and on Monday he had to go out to meet another image captured at a party in his official residence.
The Helsinki Police has confirmed that it has received three complaints related to the videos, but that it will not open any investigation because it does not detect any indication of criminality on the part of the prime minister or those around her.
