The customization of the lock screen is the biggest novelty introduced by iOS 16 on the iPhone: the user can select the font and color of the time, but also add widgets and overlay the subject of a photo on the writing with the time. The function is still interesting if we add the debut of the always on screen on the iPhone 14 Pro, which allows you to see the lockscreen always active even when the phone is in standby. Samsung, in beta 3 of its OneUI 5 operating system, has introduced a very similar customization to that of Apple for the home screen of its Galaxy. When you change the background image you access a gallery of options that is very reminiscent of iOS 16, but on Samsung it is still not possible to add third-party widgets like on the iPhone. A quite paradoxical situation for a company that, immediately after the announcement of the iPhone 14, immediately proceeded to publish social campaigns that made fun of the Apple phone criticizing it for not introducing anything new, for having the 48MP camera against the 108 of the top-of-the-range Galaxy of 2020, or not knowing how to fold like the Flip of the Galaxy line.
