CHAOS IN EJIDOS OF EL FUERTE. The non-dividing of the Tehueco and La Estacas ejidos in the neighboring municipality of El Fuerte and the indifference with which the agrarian authorities view the problems of the peasants, have caused a climate of unrest of dispute and have given room for the Vivals to take over the best lands. Furthermore, they monopolize communal resources, thousands of hectares remain idle and the majority of ejidatarios limit themselves to cultivating two or three hectares, or simply have to work as day laborers to survive.
