Grozny, Belgorod, Saransk, Yakutsk, Magnitogorsk, Vladikavkaz, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kaluga, Makhachkala and Nizhnevartovsk were included in the list of Russian cities whose residents are most satisfied with the quality of roads and the work of road services in their regions. The analysis was carried out in cities with a population of more than 250 thousand people in October and September. The participants were asked to assess the condition of the roadway, the work of public transport, the work of the traffic police, as well as the likelihood of getting stuck in a traffic jam and an accident.
It turned out that only half of the respondents are satisfied with the state of the road surface in their city. 72 percent of the survey participants were satisfied with the work of public transport, and 79 percent of the traffic police. The worst roads, according to respondents, are in Smolensk, Ryazan, Vladivostok, Tomsk, Kostroma, Bryansk, Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk, St. Petersburg and Yaroslavl.
In March, residents of the city of Pugachev, Saratov Region, criticized the poor condition of the roads, which were flooded with water and covered with snow. The Russians mocked what had happened and called what they saw the tricks of the Americans. Some of them also offered to open a catamaran rental on the site.
