Ruhr Park in Bochum introduces a trick in the 2G control

To contain the corona pandemic, 2G applies in retail in NRW. In order to be able to better control this, the Ruhr Park Bochum uses a control option from another industry.

Bochum – The 2G rule has been in force in the retail sector in North Rhine-Westphalia since December 4th. The only exceptions are shops such as supermarkets, drug stores or pharmacies. Anyone who wants to shop for something chic to wear shortly before Christmas must prove that they have recovered or have been vaccinated against Corona. Since the summer Strict corona rules apply in the Ruhr Park*. According to the current Corona Protection Ordinance, only fully vaccinated or recovered people have access. The dealers and employees have to check this.

The procedure with which the Ruhr Park now wants to make it easier for visitors and shop owners to prove and control the 2G rule is mainly known from clubs or festivals: whoever has been admitted once – that is, the ID has been checked – is often given here a stamp that says exactly that.

Accordingly, visitors to the Ruhr Park should now also receive a stamp as soon as they have proven once in a shop of their choice that they have recovered or have been vaccinated. According to a statement, the shopping center wants to make adherence to the 2G rule as “pleasant and easy as possible” for its visitors and at the same time as much protection as possible from the Coronavirus* Offer.

But the process should also make things a lot easier for the operators and employees of the shops on the shopping mile. Without a corresponding regulation, all visitors in each individual shop would otherwise have to show their vaccination or health records again – an effort that could lead to long queues in front of the shops, especially in the run-up to Christmas.

From December 8th, visitors to the Ruhr Park can now, after picking up the stamp, shop as they please in the entire Ruhr Park without further verification checks. Visitors who have already received a stamp can go straight to the next store via a “fast lane” without having to queue beforehand.

“With the issue of the stamps, we have come up with a sustainable system that makes compliance with the new 2G regulation as easy as possible for both our visitors and retailers,” explains Andreas Ulmer, Center Manager in the Ruhr Park. Because the stamp process is likely to be much more beneficial to the unadulterated shopping experience – and thus also to the sales in the individual shops. Shopping only under 2G: Ruhr Park Bochum relies on simple control of the corona rule

Because the fact that shopping is now only possible for vaccinated or convalescent people has not only met with approval in the past few days. In the run-up to Christmas, the Ruhr Park reception, the gift card sales point in front of the depot and the packing service in the kiosk before rituals also give the stamps.
