A series of updates on the localization of Steam hinted that the debut of Returnal on PC it could happen sooner than expected.
The title has become one of the best games of 2021 and fans have been lobbying for a PC port since its release, with Returnal remaining at the top of the wish lists of PC gamers around the world.
While nothing is decided yet, gamers yearn to have Returnal on Steam, now more than ever seen the ability to play it on the go thanks to Steam Deck. Fortunately for hardcore fans, some changes in the game’s localization on Steam could herald an imminent PC port.
Under the code name “Oregon“, the game was the subject of a business series recently.
The latest update dates back to a few hours ago and contains new references to the Tower of Sisyphus of the Ascension update, to the world of Atrophos itself and to Helios, the ship that transports our protagonist to the heart of the decaying and war-torn planet.
On Thursday 7th July, 19 new languages were also added to the in-game objectives, proving that something is on the way in the near future.
Following a leak from the GeForce Now database in September 2021, Returnal was one of many games speculated to be coming to PC.
With numerous other PlayStation titles finally coming to Steam, adding Returnal to the list would make sense: after all, the title has been highly rated on consoles and has sold a huge amount of copies.
