Welcome to Raccoon City brings the saga back to theaters this Friday, November 28, in Spain.
As was told at the time, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will try to adapt the first two installments of the saga to the big screen, however the spectators who go to the cinema this next November 28 may miss a key character in Resident Evil 2. For all of them, in order to avoid disappointment , the director of the film wanted to explain the reason for his absence.
I just couldn’t find a way to fit Mr. XJohannes RobertsThrough an interview with ComicBook, Johannes Roberts claims that Mr. X was initially in the plans for the feature film, but fell out of the final product. “I just couldn’t find a way to fit Mr. X [en la historia]. There is a reference. It’s hard to get [el easter-egg] and I was like, ‘just use this scene,’ but it doesn’t work on tape, “he explains.” With a movie, you have to tell a proper story instead of just using the takes that you would like, “adds the American director.
Naturally, this is the beginning of a new film saga, and if things go well in criticism and box office for the film Roberts could be back for a new film where Mr. X or other characters were in his script. At the moment, the filmmaker is looking for ideas for his next film in Resident Evil 4.
RE: Welcome to Raccoon City seeks to be much more faithful to video games than the previous series starring Milla Jovovich, and in fact Sony Pictures recently published a trailer loaded with references to Capcom’s survival-horror.
