On the occasion of Republic Day celebrated yesterday, Lancia once again became noticed throughout the world for having accompanied the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. A ritual that has been taking place for over 60 years, since 1961 to be precise, the year in which for the first time Lancia Flaminia it was chosen as the representative car of the Quirinale.
Lancia Flaminia Presidential
As happens every year, therefore, yesterday too on board the Lancia Flaminia Presidential Mattarella opened the procession of the Republic Day celebrations: as per tradition, the iconic Lancia-manufactured car accompanied the President of the Republic in the military parade through some symbolic places of the capital, Rome.
For Republic Day
Mattarella is only the latest personality of this caliber to have boarded a Lancia Flaminia: in recent decades, Queen Elizabeth II of England, the Presidents of the United States and France, John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Charles De Gaulle and numerous other politicians have done the same, including of heads of state and sovereigns. A car that was born in the past but also looks to the future of the brand: the Flaminia Presidential is in fact one of the 9 cars that have inspired the design of future Lancia carsthanks to its streamlined shape, made of aerodynamics, sustainability and fluidity of volumes.
