The Argentinian Hernan Cristante, coach of Querétaro, referred to what happened on Saturday, when fans of his club attacked those of the Atlas and a pitched battle was generated that forced the game to be suspended on Saturday, at the La Corregidora stadium, and reported that he and his players have received death threats.

Although unofficial versions said that there were around 15 deaths, the Querétaro authorities denied that anyone had died in the events.
The complaints of the Querétaro coach
Cristante spoke of the possibility that the club would be disaffiliated from Liga MX due to what happened and there he touched on the issue of threats.
“(Disaffiliation) is one of the fears that there is, but nothing resembles the fear that they are threatening your family. They have received threats. You cannot be calm, it was exacerbated to a level that is unmatched. Look at calling the players or the people from the institution ‘assassins’ when they put their integrity and exposed themselves in order to save someone, help someone,” he declared.

The DT was singled out for a video that circulated on social networks, in which he was seen helping a Querétaro fan. “They’re going to suspend the court, then we’ll bust them outside, nothing happens,” he says there. But then there were also images of Cristante protecting Atlas fans, some of whom were taken to his team’s dressing room.
“I said that so they would stop hitting a boy who was no more than 20 years old, he couldn’t get people out of him and I just wanted to dissuade him in the only way I could… They released him and he was one of the boys who ended up being checked by the club’s doctor,” he explained.
“I did not hear anyone comment that there were people from Querétaro helping people from Atlas, passing out a jacket so that they would not be there, taking families out, opening our locker rooms, people from the campus who went to see if the Atlas players or the referees needed something, trying to put up with other people who did not come to their senses. How to dissuade someone who wants to get into a tunnel where you want to protect yourself to burst people? “, he added.

Cristante has already returned to training, but he is worried
Cristante reiterated his annoyance and his concern about what happened, now that Querétaro has returned to training. “It is not comfortable to receive threats. Today the wives of some of the boys are thinking of leaving, they are suffering from this situation, they suffer here. The thing about the victims is unfortunate, very sad, nobody likes it, and losing your job can do anything, but the feeling that they are threatening your people is very unpleasant,” he said.
