Not only was the result important, but the way in which it was achieved is worth mentioning. The team led by coach Tite was far superior, being pushed by 12,528,000 fans who followed the match live.
After the victory, the Brazilian team remains in the lead of the South American qualifiers for the World Cup with 31 points.
Neymar and Raphinha decisive
The number 10 shirt of the Brazilian team showed from the first minutes that he wanted to play. And, just at 2, he created his first chance with a hard shot that stopped in Muslera’s defense.
However, on minute 9, the Uruguayan goalkeeper was unable to do anything, when Fred threw Neymar, who, inside the area, dominated the chest and got rid of Muslera to finish with freedom. With this goal, the shirt 10 became the second top scorer in the competition with 7 goals (1 less than the Bolivian Marcelo Moreno).
And Brazil wanted more, and got it in the 17th minute, when Neymar kicked it, Muslera partially defended and Raphinha took the opportunity to expand.
The team commanded by Tite still tried to reach third in the rest of the initial stage, but he only came 12 minutes into the second half. And the goal was the result of a partnership between Neymar and Raphinha. In a speed play, the shirt 10 went deep to the shirt 19, who advanced and hit a left cross.

In the 31st minute, Uruguay still managed to cash with a beautiful goal, in a free kick, by top scorer Luis Suárez. But the night was really for the Brazilian team, which expanded in the 37th minute thanks to a header by Gabriel Barbosa, who took advantage of a beautiful shot by Neymar to close the score.
