Residents of the Sverdlovsk region from December 22 to January 20 will be able to visit shopping centers without showing QR codes. On December 21, the head of the region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, shared this information on Instagram.
According to him, the decision was made in connection with the improvement of the epidemic situation in the region. Kuyvashev noted that previously introduced measures to combat COVID-19 have shown their effectiveness.
“… The bed capacity in hospitals has been unloaded. The burden on doctors has slightly decreased, ”the governor wrote.
However, in the event of an increase in the number of cases, the regional authorities will return the restrictions ahead of schedule.
Kuyvashev added that from December 22 to January 20, catering establishments will be able to operate at night, but always with a QR system.
At the end of November, compulsory coronavirus vaccination for citizens over 60 years old was introduced in the Sverdlovsk Region. They need to enter the first component of the vaccine by December 27, 2021 inclusive, and the second – by January 27, 2022.
On December 21, it became known that the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has included vaccination against COVID-19 in the calendar of preventive vaccinations for epidemic indications.
According to the document, citizens aged 60 and over are subject to vaccination; adults working in the medical, educational and social fields; persons living in social institutions; suffering from chronic diseases, including bronchopulmonary, cardiovascular system, diabetes mellitus and obesity; residents of cities with a population of 1 million or more.
The calendar also includes voluntary vaccinations for minors between the ages of 12 and 17.
A large-scale vaccination campaign is underway in Russia. Citizens are vaccinated for free. Five vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in the Russian Federation and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVak.
