According to the Kremlin, we are talking about the neutral non-nuclear status of Ukraine, the mandatory demilitarization and denazification of the country. In addition, Russia expects recognition of the ownership of Crimea and the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR) within the administrative boundaries of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“The hope was expressed that during the planned third round of negotiations, the representatives of Kyiv will take a reasonable and constructive position,” the message says.
The Russian and Ukrainian delegations have already held two rounds of talks on the situation in Ukraine. The second meeting was held in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The parties agreed to create channels of communication and interaction for the organization of humanitarian corridors with the possibility of a ceasefire. The third meeting, according to unconfirmed reports, may take place on March 5 or 6.
