Public transport The government decided to support public transport in the Helsinki region

Politicians have agreed on the amount on Wednesday.

Finland the government has decided to give more support to public transport, which is in trouble due to the pandemic.

On Wednesday, a decision has been made on the EUR 30 million to be distributed to urban areas, which will be on top of previously agreed subsidies. The decision is particularly significant in the Helsinki metropolitan area, as according to Haraka, almost 20 million pots will be caught by Helsinki Region Transport (HSL).

“I am glad that we were able to agree on an additional EUR 30 million. This will also enable us to provide first aid to HSL’s predicament,” says the Minister of Transport and Communications. Timo Harakka (sd).
