In case you had already forgotten, Netflix is working on a live-action adaptation of OnePiece. After months ago they finally announced the main cast of the series, today it was confirmed that the project has already started its production stage.
The news was confirmed via Twitterwhere the account of Netflix Geeked He also shared a couple of photos from the production:
“ONE PIECE is officially in production, Luffy’s path to becoming the Pirate King has only just begun.”

In other words, this also means that the project is still a long way from reaching the streaming service. Similarly, do not expect that we will have some kind of official progress soon, so we will have to rely on leaks to know how the series is progressing.
Publisher’s note: Netflix insists on moving forward with these live-action anime adaptations. We all already know what happened to the adaptation of Cowboy Bebop, and he sincerely hoped that the streaming giant learned its lesson from him and One Piece is not going to suffer the same fate. I mean, I hope it does have more than one season.
