The new prime minister of Sweden, Magdalena Andersson, the first woman to hold the position in the country, resigned this Wednesday (24), after just a few hours in power. Social Democratic Party leader Andersson took the step after suffering a defeat in the Swedish Parliament, which approved a budget proposal presented by the opposition.

Then the Green Party decided to leave the minority coalition government formed with the Social Democrats. According to information from the Swedish government’s official Twitter, Andersson may run in another parliamentary vote, which should take place in the next few days, but this time for a purely social-democratic minority government.
