The Consistory will process grants to support children and adolescents for minors from families who have suffered damage
Murcia City Council has begun the procedures to grant, as a matter of urgency, direct municipal aid for 30 families affected by heavy rains in Javalí Viejo and La Ñora, the areas most damaged by the storm. Specifically, 21 are from Javalí Viejo and 9 from La Ñora.
These aids can be processed thanks to the regulatory ordinance of municipal economic aid for the attention of social emergency needs, and its amount can range between 3,000 and 5,000 euros, depending on the needs of the affected individuals and families.
These municipal regulations contemplate the regulation of various municipal aids intended for the social care of basic needs, understanding as such the set of financial aids and benefits of a non-periodic nature aimed at alleviating or resolving, by themselves or in addition to other resources and benefits, social emergency situations.
The economic benefits will be for food, repairs or adaptation of the habitual residence, acquisition of equipment and basic furniture of first necessity, rents, among others.
Similarly, the Murcia City Council will process aid to support children and adolescents (dining room, school supplies, etc.) for the minors of the affected families. Currently, the municipal services are carrying out a diagnosis of the situation and the specific needs of each of the families.
Likewise, Mayor Serrano is going to present to the municipal plenary this Thursday, urgently, a proposal so that all the municipal political groups approve the adherence to the file to declare the main areas affected by the rains last Sunday, such as Javalí, a catastrophic zone. Viejo, La Ñora, Guadalupe and Espinardo.
