The Porsche Festival, now in its seventh edition, is preparing to start on the first weekend of October (Saturday 1 and Sunday 2). The Porsche will host the event Franciacorta Experience Center which, with its 60 hectares, is ready to welcome thousands of Porschisti and enthusiasts from all over Italy.
The weekend program includes numerous experiences on the track with the sports cars of the Zuffenhausen company, off-road routes, taxi drives aboard the GT3 Cups driven by the drivers of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia and a Drifting Academy for moments of adrenaline on the low-grip track. Starting this year, people with disabilities will also have the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving Porsche sports cars on the track, thanks to the help of a driving device installed on the cars in the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta fleet. The 50 years of the Carrera RS and the 70th anniversary of the Porsche Clubs with the exhibition of 70 models.
The Porsche Village will host various thematic areas including the Innovation Area with the Taycan range, the Classic Area dedicated to historic Porsche models, the areas dedicated to the Porsche Sci Club and Porsche Green Club communities, the Motorsport Area and an entire Porsche Approved open-air salon. Young and old will also be able to entertain themselves with recreational activities such as minigolf, basketball, table tennis and the surf simulator set up inside the boulevard of the Porsche Experience Center, where the Food Area will also be located.
Inside the Customer Center, the iconic arched structure of the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta, there will be the Exclusive Manufaktur areas, the Kids area for the entertainment of the little ones and the E-Kart Area for a challenge aboard electric karts with different speed maps; while the Porsche People Excellence Center, the training center of PEC Franciacorta, will open its doors to the general public for the first time.
One of the great novelties of the Porsche Festival 2022 program will be the awarding of the Restoration Competition, which has also reached its seventh edition and traditionally hosted by the Vintage Auto and Moto Fair of Padua. In fact, the podium of the finalist cars will be unveiled during the weekend, that is the best Porsche Classic restoration work carried out during the year by the Porsche Centers and Porsche Service Centers. The two days will culminate in traditional parades on the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta circuit, with the aim of beating the record of cars present on the track set last year.
