The design of the B-segment sports car, revisited from both an aesthetic and technical point of view, is marked by the recognizable typical GTI elements starting from the lowered chassis by 15 mm: the red lines on the grille and the honeycomb structure of the air intake on the outside, the top-of-the-range sports seats with the characteristic Clark check pattern on the central bands in the passenger compartment. The new GTI specific bumpers make the compact sports car appear even wider on the road. The most striking novelty on the rear of the New Polo GTI are the LED rear light clusters which, the result of a completely new design work, now push decisively towards the center of the tailgate and feature animated brake lights; dynamic direction indicators integrated in the optical groups then, they indicate the direction of the turn with a fluid movement of the light. The Dynamic Light Assist of the LED Matrix IQ.LIGHT headlights ensures a very homogeneous illumination of the roadway and the surrounding environment.
Heart of the new Volkswagen Polo GTI is the 207 hp 2.0 TSI engine of power and 320 Nm of maximum torque, which the allows you to reach a maximum speed of 240 km / h. Shifting between gears is done via a standard 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h is consumed in just 6.5 seconds. The petrol unit is equipped with a double injection system, with combined direct and indirect injection, an engine control unit with four central processors and electronic valve lift switching on the intake side. The New Polo GTI also comes standard with the Digital Cockpit Pro with a 10.25 inches and the Ready2Discover infotainment system with a 8 inches, including App-Connect Wireless, Online Control Unit (eSIM) and Functions on-Demand. Infotainment and navigation systems with 9.2-inch touchscreens are also available on request.
