Andersson and Hultqvist have a meeting with the president Sauli NiinistöPrime Minister Sanna Marinin (sd) and the Minister of Defense Antti Kaikkonen (center). Topics of discussion include Russia’s hostilities in Ukraine, the changed security situation in Europe and co-operation between Finland and Sweden.
The prime ministers will also have a bilateral meeting on the security situation in Europe, economic issues and other current EU issues. Defense ministers also have their own bilateral talks.

Discussions on foreign and security policy and possible NATO membership have intensified sharply in both Finland and Sweden since Russia began to mobilize near Ukraine and eventually invaded the country.
