With the work done on the chapters of the PNRR related to the digital transition, network connections, space activities, “we have laid the foundations for the future” of the country. This was observed by the Minister of Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, Vittorio Colao, during the hearing today in the Senate on the state of implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), referring to the year 2021, before the assembled commissions of the Senate Constitutional Affairs, Budget, Public Works and EU Policies.
“One year after the beginning of the works” linked to the digital transition of the country also with the projects and funds of the NRP “the results are encouraging”. They are the result of great teamwork even with local PAs. “Italian citizens appreciate digitalization, let’s dispel the myth that Italians don’t appreciate digital” noted Colao. With all the investments already started with PNRR funds, our country is demonstrating that “Italy’s ability to land is not so limited”. Colao clarified that on the “total financial endowment” of the NRP which “is just under 20 billion including space, and just over 15 without space, we have already committed about half of this figure, about 9, to date. 8 billion “. “I think this is a reassuring fact of the country’s ability to spend the famous funds”, a capacity “that at first some people questioned a little,” said Colao.
“Collective public-private investment and more courageous choices are ingredients that will allow us to realize” – he added – the path taken by the digital transition and projects linked to funds for the digitalization of the NRP.
