Randolfe Rodrigues asked that the president be investigated for alleged interference in the state-owned company
The Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Lindôra Araújo, asked the STF (Supreme Federal Court) to file a request for an investigation against the president. Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for alleged interference in Petrobras. The case is under the rapporteurship of Roberto Barroso.
The demonstration was made at the request of the senator Randolfe Rodrigues (AP-Net). The request was made in July, after the news portal metropolises publish an audio in which Roberto Castello Branco, former president of Petrobras, says he has messages that could incriminate Bolsonaro.
“I had messages and audios on my corporate cell phone that could incriminate him. I insisted on returning it intact to Petrobras”Castello Branco would have said in a conversation with Rubem Novaes, former president of Banco do Brasil.
In July, the PGR asked to hear the former presidents of Petrobras and Banco do Brasil. In the statement sent to the STF on this 5th (September 22, 2022), however, the body says that there is no “any evidence” that indicates the alleged interference of Bolsonaro.
