Petrobras is launching two publications on the importance of environmental preservation for children. Through the Petrobras Socioenvironmental Program, the Coral Vivo project launched yesterday (11) the book stick-stick, his first literary work aimed at children. The Meros do Brasil project launches, today, Children’s Day (12), a e-book with activities aimed at children from 0 to 6 years old. The two publications will be available, free of charge, for download on the Internet.
Rio’s schools and libraries
The book stick-stick, set in the seas of the South of Bahia, aims to develop the process of ecological awareness in children. The publication explores the marine universe of coral reefs. The entire narrative, visual and written, was created with the advice of biologist Débora Pires, founder of the Coral Vivo project and an excellent researcher in the underwater world. In addition to the possibility of downloading from the site, the publication has a version that was adopted by the Municipal Department of Education of Rio de Janeiro and will be part of the collection of 1,546 reading rooms in schools, daycare centers and child development spaces in the network, in addition to the 14 municipal school libraries, to be used in classes with children undergoing literacy.
early childhood
The Meros do Brasil project will celebrate Children’s Day with the launch of a e-book with the environmental theme. The material will be available for download free on site and the project’s Instagram from the 12th.
The digital book brings more than 40 activities, with content developed from the discussions and concepts covered in a training course that brought together, in July this year, 40 educators from Rede Meros do Brasil and 23 other social, environmental and sports projects sponsored by Petrobras.
