RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – Petrobras’ debt settlement, which is now at healthy levels, has allowed the state oil company to return to increasing investments in its newest strategic plan, company president Joaquim Silva and Luna.
Petrobras announced the day before that it will invest 68 billion dollars between 2022 and 2026, a significant increase compared to the previous multi-year business plan, which provided for 55 billion dollars.
Luna also reiterated that Petrobras continues to focus on “what it does best”, which is the exploration and production of oil and gas in deep and ultra-deep waters, essentially in the pre-salt of the Santos and Campos Basins.
