Disney has unleashed various reactions with the announcement of the remakes for its animated classics. The controversy involved Mulan at the time, then the Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey and more recently Rachel Zegler as the protagonist of Snow White. Now, moving away from the cast of his main role, Peter Dinklage has offered harsh opinions about this new story of Snow White.

The famous actor, recognized for having played Tyrion Lannister in Game of thrones, participated in WTF Podcast (via Variety), where he expressed his discomfort because the 7 dwarfs continue to be portrayed in the same way as for decades, without giving them more representation to its development.
“There is a lot of hypocrisyto. I don’t want to offend anyone, but I was a bit surprised when everyone was so proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. But you’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and see what you’re doing there. It doesn’t make sense to me,” Dinklage said.

In this way, the American interpreter was disappointed, since, in his view, he believed that his career in the entertainment industry could have had enough impact so that there is greater diversity in Snow White’s live action proposal compared to how the 7 friends of the princess will be represented.
“You’re progressive in a way, but then you keep making that damn story about seven midgets living together in a cave, what the hell are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my position? I guess I’m not strong enough. I don’t know what studio that is, but they were very proud of it,” Dinklage said.
Still, she sent Zegler best wishes on her new path as a Disney princess: “All love and respect to the actress and all the people who thought they were doing the right thing. But I’m like, what are they doing?
