Pecco will drop three positions on Sunday
Francesco Bagnaia was sanctioned by the Race Direction with a three-place penalty to be served on the starting grid of the Italian GP on Sunday for an impediment against Alex Marquez who was engaged in a fast lap.
Bagnaia remained slow on the trajectory at the entrance to the Correntaio e Alex Marquez he had to abandon what was a good lap that could have brought him into the top-10 of drivers directly qualified for Q2.
Pecco defined Marquez’s “a usual show” claiming that it was not on the trajectory, but evidently the Commissioners assessed the episode differently, agreeing with the Gresini driver. Ducati appealed, but it was rejected. In today’s Sprint, Bagnaia will not drop three positions, maintaining the position he will conquer in Qualifying, but tomorrow he will be ‘one row’ behind compared to today’s time.
