Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- Unlike other years, on this occasion and due to the health contingency by Covid-19, the carnivals of the unions of Ahome will be carried out in a staggered manner, that is, one weekend in each starting from the day March 11th.
Gladys Gastélum, director of the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC) of Ahome, specified that this programming is with the aim of having greater control and operating margin to keep the health protocols active in each of the venues.
In the case of Topolobampo, the party will be for three days, that is, Friday the 11th, Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of March; on San Miguel Zapotitlan will be Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March while in the Villa of Ahome It will be on Saturday, Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27.

“Right now we are in negotiations with all the parties involved, such as the Health, Safety and Traffic, Civil Protection, Regulations, Tourism and the Institute of Culture sectors. We will be taking care of the health issue as much as possible by making an entrance and an exit zone, which are not multiple accesses to be able to place tunnels. The capacity will be 75 percent in each receivership, ”he specified.
The municipal official commented that next Monday she will have a meeting with each of the trustees who said, they already have the authorized dates to establish the operating guidelines for these parties.
“They already have the dates, they are already working with their sponsors and carnival organizers to get them working. We will have meetings with the trustees and all the parties involved next Monday, there they will be informed and obviously we will have all the information, we need many elements to be vigilant”.
Finally, he pointed out that in terms of cultural programming, the role has already been established, emphasizing that what is sought is to create a cultural festival that is not so much carnivalesque.
