Olympic Games Slovakia rejoices at historic medal, Sweden teases – Head coach responds to criticism: ‘He could sit back on the couch’

Slovakia won the country’s first Olympic hockey medal, and Sweden dropped out without an Olympic medal for the second time in a row.

Slovakia was a really tough piece for Sweden in the bronze match. Tre Kronor could not break through the defense of Slovakia, but the big surprise of the Games was blessed with goals. Slovakia grabbed the Olympic bronze with a score of 4-0.

The Beijing Olympics was Sweden’s second consecutive medal-free Olympic trip. The Slovak bronze, on the other hand, is the first Olympic medal in hockey in the country’s history.

So far, the highest Olympic hockey achievement in Slovakia’s independence period is in fourth place at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

Slovak team captain Marek Hrivík has not yet properly realized what had to be done.

“It’s just coming. I hope everyone at home is proud of us, we played for each other throughout the tournament. ”

“We showed everyone that Slovakia can play hockey and we have good players. We believe that this success will help future generations, “Hrivík told RTVS New members by.

Swedish head coach Johan Garpenlöv has received much criticism for his medal-free trip. Acting as an Discovery Channel Expert Peter Forsberg is one of the critics.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladetin according to Forsberg, Garpenlöv has “standing hands in pockets”.

Forsberg considered the bronze medal to be quite a loud performance from the Swedish team.

“They would need energy, now the situation looks pretty dead,” Forsberg said Aftonbladetin by.

No extra energy came to the team, but after the bronze game in the jacket, Garpenlöv gave it back to Forsberg.

“He could sit back on the couch and focus on watching the game,” Garpenlöv said.

Swedish captain Anton Lander was also very upset after the game and slammed the door apart during a break, says Aftonbladet.
