Chapter 6 of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” arrived on Disney + and put an end to the “Star Wars” limited series. After six weeks watching Ewan McGregor as the lost Ben Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as the mighty Darth Vader, the only thing left to ask is: is this ending worthy of the saga or is it locked in the same sphere as the controversial prequels and sequels?
On this note, WE TELL YOU WITH SPOILERS what sensations the outcome of this dramatic story left us.

nostalgia never fails
The final chapter has everything a “Star Wars” fan would like to see: an epic fight, emotional conversations, and the inevitable nods to the saga.
We had already seen Darth Vader fight against Obi-Wan, but this time the combat reaches another level. Watching Kenobi use the force and defeat his old student is one of the most enjoyable in the entire series. The moment when Ben apologizes to Anakin for everything crying is extremely sad and emotional.
The most fans will have noticed the nod to “Star Wars: Rebels” when the half of Vader’s broken helmet reveals for an instant the eye of what was once Anakin Skywalker.

Here too you have to stand up and applaud the performances of Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor. No one disappoints you see them wherever you see them and they deserve the love of the fans.
Also, as if details like Leia’s hairstyle and clothes at the end weren’t enough, the episode hits us right in the face with all the nostalgia by bringing back Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn.
Likewise, the best-known dialogue of master Obi-Wan Kenobi could not be missing: “Hello, there”, which is the only thing we get to see between Ben and the little boy. Luke Skywalker.

To all of the above, we must add the appearance of another “Star Wars” legend: Ian McDiarmid, who reappears in this chapter as the fearsome Palpatine to exhort his apprentice Darth Vader.
But while this is all really memorable and exciting, not everything is rosy. And that is something that we analyze below.
The big problem of spin-offs
Obi-Wan Kenobi” makes the same mistake as almost all spin-off series: tell something that we already know how it will end, without adding unknowns through danger or memorable characters.

Taking into account “Episode IV: A New Hope”, we already know that Kenobi is going to survive any fight against Darth Vader; Leia will survive despite the circumstances; and Luke will stay alive with his aunt and uncle until Ben comes back for him.
The series does not shine for having an excellent script with several unexpected twists, but for the nostalgia that its characters carry. for any “Star Wars” fan.
Whether it’s a lightsaber fight or different nods to the saga, fans of the franchise are there applauding those scenes.
Along those same lines, director Deborah Chow ends up wasting the Inquisitors. We never see them fight and they hardly ever draw their lightsaber. The only exception, which is unfortunate, is the Third Sister, who ends up becoming an unpleasant and uninteresting antagonist, despite her motivations being explained.

conclusion
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is an exciting and nostalgic series. He makes mistakes that don’t escape the eyes of most “Star Wars” connoisseurs, but none of that is enough to say he’s a total flop.
The story can be predictable at times and miss some characters; however, the director Deborah Chow does justice to Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

It is shown once again thatThe Mandalorian” has left a very high fence. If this was the greatest opportunity to top it, or at least to be on the same level, it seems that there is still no one as fan of the saga as Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to weave a completely coherent and momentous story.
