The former home of actor Nicolas Cage in the United States will be sold three times cheaper after a fire
They decided to sell the former home of American actor Nicolas Cage in San Francisco at a multimillion-dollar discount. The reason for the huge discount was a fire that occurred in the building in 2020, writes Daily Mail.
The mansion's current owners purchased it in 2019 for $6.5 million. A year earlier, the property was valued at $12 million. Now they want to get 3.5 million dollars for it – more than three times less than it cost in 2018.
We are talking about a Victorian-style mansion with a total area of 643 square meters. Inside there are five bedrooms, a living room with crown molding, a dining room with stained glass windows, a kitchen with a prep island and bay windows, six full bathrooms and one additional bathroom.
The house is currently being renovated after a fire damaged the back of the building. Among the features of the facility are almost four-meter ceilings and two-meter windows. The outside of the house has a rough staircase and a black and white tiled landing. At the entrance there are two statues in the form of lions. There is also a four-car garage, an elevator, a wine cellar and an office on site.
In May 2023, Nicolas Cage's former apartment in New York was put up for sale. They asked for $15.5 million for an apartment in the 51-story Olympic Tower skyscraper, but last year the property was valued at $16.5 million. In 2004 and 2005, the actor purchased two apartments in this building for a total of $5.5 million, and then combined them. However, in 2009, he sold the home for $7.5 million due to debts.
