Former Chelyabinsk governor Yurevich filed a claim for 100 million rubles against the show “Malakhov”
The former governor of the Chelyabinsk region, founder of Makfa, Mikhail Yurevich, filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation for 100 million rubles against TV presenter Andrei Malakhov and the Rossiya 1 TV channel. About it reported The ex-official’s lawyer Igor Trunov, reports Ura.ru.
The lawsuit was sent to the Presnensky District Court of Moscow. The lawyer explained that the show made statements that discredited the honor, dignity and business reputation of Yurevich. Trunov emphasized that “when such statements are made in court, this is permissible, when such statements are made on a federal channel, this violates the rights and freedoms of citizens, and the presumption of innocence.” “When a federal channel throughout the country calls a person a corrupt official and a fraudster, this is a certain measure of pressure and influence on the court,” he said.
Earlier, Makfa proposed concluding a settlement agreement on the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office with the buyout of part of the shares, as well as allocating one billion rubles a year for the needs of a special military operation.
