Neuer stingy ?: taxi driver returns wallet, but the reward outraged him

Bayern Munich’s German goalkeeper Manuel Neuerhas been in the news in his country for a particular episode that he lived off the pitch, with a taxi driver.

According to local press reports, Neuer forgot his wallet with 800 euros and several cards in a taxi he took with a friend in a square in Munich called Odeonsplatz.

The curious thing is that the taxi driver, identified as Hazir S. by Sky Germany, after recognizing the star of the Bayern goal, and after cleaning his car and finding the wallet, he went in search of the goalkeeper, which cost him a lot of work, to the point that he managed to drive 120 kilometers, because he could not find it where he left it or at his home.

When he finally located him, in an exemplary manner he returned his documents and money. But the story did not stop there. Neuer, as an act of gratitude, sent him a T-shirt of his with the 1 on the back two weeks later.

However, the taxi driver expected something more. As explained by the German media outlet Bild, the driver was entitled to 34 euros just for returning a wallet, by law. Not to mention the time he wasted while searching for the footballer.

“The reward is a mockery. I have four children, ”said the taxi driver, outraged that he did not receive a note signed by the doorman or a financial reward for the time he lost.

In the networks they fell on Neuer and treated him as stingy for this curious episode, taking into account that he is one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the world.
