Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán says that the Hungarian Parliament still needs to hold discussions before accepting Finland’s and Sweden’s NATO memberships.

Hungary is scheduled to vote on membership at the beginning of March. According to the Reuters news agency, Orbán said in a radio interview on Friday that the topic still needs to be discussed.

Parliamentary is estimated to vote in favor of the memberships. Orbán said in a radio interview that he had asked MPs to support the granting of membership, but added that not all MPs were positive about it.

Finnish and Swedish memberships are voted on separately. In addition to Hungary, only Turkey has yet to ratify the membership of both countries.
