Probably the most internationally known effort to answer this question is the list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” by the prestigious music magazine Rolling Stone, i.e. the list of “500 Best Songs of All Time”. The listing was the result of an extensive survey of more than 250 music experts. Musicians, music industry influencers and music journalists alike responded.
