On Sunday, immediately following the conclusion of the spectacular World Cup final between Argentina and France, Marc Marquez was among the first sports personalities to congratulate via social network with Lionel Messi to achieve a goal that the Argentine footballer had been pursuing all his life. However, the weekend of the Spanish centaur from Honda was not spent only in front of the screen to enjoy what many have already dubbed as “the match of the century“. The #93 at Cervera in fact took advantage of the last weekend before Christmas to train on the track. No motorbike or motocross this time though, but a – relatively quieter – karting made especially for him.
The eight-time world champion got behind the wheel at the Correcaminos Karting Club, located in Recas, in the province of Toledo, together with his inseparable brother Alex. The two, now also divided by the militant manufacturers following the transfer of the youngest of the Marquez from Honda to Ducati, challenged each other while maintaining the numbers that distinguish their careers on two wheels even on karts. “A different weekend on 4 wheels… but as always chasing adrenaline”wrote Marc Marquez on his Twitter profile, posting some shots of the day. Recently, the HRC home symbol had explained that he had drastically reduced his workouts on dirt bikes to avoid complicating the still very delicate situation of his right arm.
