Jack Miller’s positivity to COVID has postponed the presentation of the Ducati MotoGP by about ten days. The Sepang shakedown began today with test driver Michele Pirro on the track, while over the weekend it will be the turn of the two starting drivers in the first two days of official testing.
Although the official presentation of the team is now set for 7 February, so for next Monday, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer this morning decided to release a short teaser to unveil the 2022 livery. it will already be the definitive GP22.
A first glance is enough to realize, for example, that the bike shown in the video does not have the long exhaust that was seen in the Jerez tests and that was also used today by Michele Pirro.
As for the color, it is very similar to the one we have already seen last season, with the shade of red that is practically the same, but also has some darker lines in the front part of the hull, as well as a reference to the red of a few years ago on part of the wings and immediately under the saddle. Then there are some black parts near the Lenovo sponsor and in the central part of the fairing.
After having conquered both the constructors’ and the team’s titles, and having been vice-world champion with Pecco BagnaiaDucati is considered by many to be the big favorite for the 2022 season, so there’s a lot of curiosity to see it in action in testing this weekend.
Also because it will be interesting to find out if Gigi Dall’Igna’s men were once again able to study some solution intended to teach school, which usually the men in Rosso have accustomed us to keeping well hidden on these “official” occasions, pulling them out only when it’s time to start the clock.
