In an interview with the Polish portal Meczyki, Zbigniew Boniek, one of the Uefa vice-presidents, former Juventus and Roma striker in the eighties, announced a new project: “We had a meeting with Conmebol (the equivalent of Uefa in South America, ed). We have discussed joint plans and from 2024 teams from that continent will join the Nations League. The timetable is tight, we are working on the modalities, but there is not much room for maneuver.
