This came during a session of talks held by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, yesterday, at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed his brother, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, among his family and in his country, the UAE. For his part, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia conveyed the congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” And His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Union, asking God Almighty to perpetuate prosperity, development and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
During the meeting, Their Highnesses reviewed the various aspects of strategic cooperation between the two countries, which is based on well-established elements of understanding, cooperation, joint action and mutual interests. Their Highnesses also addressed the importance of activating joint Gulf and Arab action, and a number of regional and international issues and files of concern to the two countries, stressing the need to work to consolidate the pillars of regional stability, which constitutes the main common base for development, construction and progress.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praying to God Almighty to perpetuate health and wellness, preserve the Kingdom and its people and bless its glory and goodness.
His Highness said: The relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are relations between brothers with all that this implies, and the implications it carries.. We believe that “the destiny is one.” And this is the main rule for the relations between the two countries.
He pointed out that thanks to the efforts of Sheikh Zayed and his brothers among the kings of the Kingdom, “may God have mercy on them,” and the stances of His Highness the President of the State and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, “may God protect them,” the relations between our two countries have become distinct and have their own peculiarities, based on solid foundations of brotherhood, history, geography and common interests. His Highness stressed that the Kingdom is an essential pillar of the system of joint Gulf and Arab action and a major weight in the balance of regional and Arab security.. That is how it was, is and will continue to be.. and our confidence is great in our ability together to confront challenges in the region and promote our higher interests and common prosperity for our peoples.
His Highness said in a tweet on his Twitter account: “I welcome my brother, Mohammed bin Salman, to his family in the UAE. We are continuing to strengthen brotherly relations, the well-established strategy, and economic integration between the two countries. Communication and consultation between brothers is an essential pillar in the process of strengthening joint Gulf action.” .
For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his happiness to visit the UAE during its national celebrations, expressing sincere congratulations and wishes to the UAE government and people for continued progress and prosperity.
