His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received yesterday at Al Bahr Palace Nicolae Chiuca, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of Romania. His Highness welcomed the visit of the Romanian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, looking forward that the visit would contribute to supporting the development and growth of bilateral relations in various fields.
The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and opportunities for its development and diversification of its horizons, especially in the economic, investment, trade, development, agricultural and other vital fields of common interest.
His Highness and the Romanian Prime Minister exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and the developments of a number of regional and international issues of common concern. At the beginning of the meeting, the Romanian Prime Minister offered his condolences and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him.
His Excellency also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his assumption of the presidency of the United Arab Emirates, wishing His Highness success in leading the country to achieve what the people of the Emirates aspire to in terms of progress and advancement.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to the Romanian Prime Minister for the good feelings he showed, expressing his sincere wishes for the friendly Republic of Romania for continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and H.E. Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Structure His Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, a number of officials and the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of Romania.
