The Mexican baseball player who belongs to the Red Devils of Mexico in the Mexican Baseball League, Miguel Ojeda Jr.signed a contract this afternoon with the Texas Rangers in search of fulfilling his dream of debuting in the Major Leagues.
The son of the emblematic Miguel Ojeda, wants to follow in the footsteps of his father, who played with the Texas Rangers team in his last season of his stay in the Major Leagues. Now the son seeks to establish himself as one more Mexican in the best baseball in the world.
Miguel Ojeda Jr., became the fifth player of the Red Devils of Mexico to sign this year with an organization of the MLBdonning the Texas Rangers shirt.

“This is just a small step from the main goal, which is to reach Big leagues. At some point my dad and other coaches told me that in a career one thing is the talent you have but the work, the discipline, the focus you put into it is what is going to take you far and that is the key to what I have done in my career and it will be the key to achieving my goals”, explained Ojeda Jr. during the signing of the agreement with the Texans.
The Mexican baseball player went through all the phases of growth in Mexican baseball, from the El Carmen Academy in Nuevo León, the Ensenada Sailors (Northern League of Mexico) and the Red Devils of Mexico.
“We have seen him mature and grow as a player. What we like the most is the intelligence that he has behind the plate as a catcher and we believe that this is what is going to lead him to grow within the team system, ”explained Efraín Lara, scout in Mexico of the Rangers.
Ojeda Jr. debuted in the 2018 season playing for the Generales de Durango. In this team he stayed two seasons and then emigrated in 2021 with the Guerreros de Oaxaca.
