BRASÍLIA (Reuters) – The Ministry of Health’s website suffered a hacker attack this Friday, which took down several systems in the folder, including the information system of the National Immunization Program, ConnectSUS and the certificate issuing system vaccination digital, the ministry said.
“The Ministry of Health informs that at dawn this Friday (10) suffered an incident that temporarily compromised some systems in the folder, such as e-SUS Notifica, Information System of the National Immunization Program (SI-PNI), ConectaSUS and functionalities such as issuing the Covid-19 National Vaccination Certificate and the National Digital Vaccination Card, which are currently unavailable”, the folder said in a note.
The Institutional Security Office (GSI) and the Federal Police were called in, and, according to the PF, an investigation into the case has already been opened. The ministry also informed that DataSUS is working to restore the systems.
By late morning, the ministry’s website and online systems were still down. In the ConectSUS app, user data disappeared.
At dawn, the hackers left a message, which was seen by those who accessed the site, saying that the internal data had been copied and deleted. “Contact us if you want the data back”, the text said, with contacts by e-mail and by Telegram.
The message has been removed, but the page still appears down.
