the minister Wellington Dias (Social Development) said this Wednesday (11.jan.2023) that 10 million of the 40 million families registered in the Bolsa Família registration base, the so-called CadÚnico, have “indications of irregularities”. According to him, the ministry intends to start in February the withdrawal of irregular beneficiaries and the entry of new ones in the Auxílio Brasil, which should revert to Bolsa Família.
“There was a growth of a one-person family out of reality. So there is an indication of irregularity and the re-registration will certainly give us security for those who are irregular to leave”, Dias told reporters at the Planalto Palace.
“On the one hand, we have the entry of those who are outside and have the right to the program; on the other side, the exit of those who are irregular. Always with a focus on guaranteeing very carefully, so that we can be very careful with those who need it most. There are 10 million that, we believe, have evidence of irregularities. Of these, about 6 million are single-person families”, declared the minister.
According to Dias, in Brazil, there is an average of 3.1 people per family. In the last wave of the program, in 2022, the average was 2.5 people per family.
In addition to the payment of R$ 600 in January, there will be a registration update in February, with the removal of irregular persons and the active search for beneficiaries who are outside the program and are entitled to the benefit.
In March, the additional payment of R$ 150 per child up to 6 years old will start to be paid. The minister stated that this was the deadline stipulated for the ministry to lift these other checks from the list of subscribers.
