In the last week I have discovered the hard way that worrying about your own health and that of others is rude. Indeed, a crime. Handcuffs and 41a stuff, right. I sat in my place as a juror in the Dancing with the Stars program and in front of a competitor (Mietta) who, connected from home, announced her positivity to Covid, I dared to ask a thorny question: “Are you vaccinated?”. The competitor gasped, then stammered that this was not the place to talk about these things, that there is privacy. Which would also be legitimate, were it not for the fact that in a program in which you dance, touch, come into contact with the cast and with costume designers, make-up artists, hairdressers, microphones, the proper facts are not so proper. The competitor, the next day, clarified her position: “I am not vaccinated for health reasons, when I can I will have no problems doing it”. Which, let’s face it, is not exactly the regretted message of those who would like to get vaccinated so much but have an impediment. And it is also bizarre that those who have a health problem, therefore being in a presumed frail condition, choose to participate in a program in which the risk of getting infected is just around the corner.
