McLaren is warming up its engines for its participation in the Turin Motor Show 2024. The British brand will be present at the Italian event scheduled for September 13-15 with a national preview and two of its supercars. In particular, the absolute protagonist will be the McLaren Artura Spider which will be unveiled in the shadow of the Mole as a national preview. Alongside it, there will also be a 750S and the 720S GT3X.
The McLaren Artura Spider
On the stand of the British brand you can admire an Artura Spider in McLaren Orange, embellished with the Exterior Carbon Fibre Pack and other bespoke elements such as Orange brake calipers and 10-spoke Dynamo wheels in Superlight Forged Alloy, the new convertible version joins the range with the new version of the coupé version. The McLaren Artura, has been updated, to offer the highest levels of dynamic performance, including exceptional circuit driving ability, as well as meeting the requirements of everyday driving and offering the possibility of enjoying the performance in full electric mode today useful for driving in urban centers. Model Year 2025 has been subject to improvements made to the engine, suspension, gear shift times and braking. New driver assistance technologies have also been added, while others are now standard.
Make way for the new 750S
The McLaren 750S, McLaren’s benchmark supercar launched in 2023, features a new Ember Orange Elite colour with a black Alcantara interior with orange seatbelt, orange contrast stitching and carbon fibre racing seats, and is complemented by both the exterior and interior Carbon Fibre Packs and Vortex 5 Spoke Ultra-Lightweight wheels with a Gloss Black Diamond Cut. To further inspire customers, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) recently introduced enhanced optional specification and new levels of colourful visual personalisation for MY25, including new content packs. A total of 12 pre-configured themes are available for the MSO Contrast Packs, with further combinations to be explored upon request. Packs are available at the point of purchase and within the standard retailer ordering process.
The power of the 720 GT3X
The third model on display, the 720 GT3X embodies McLaren’s racing heritage. It was first seen dynamically at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed when it competed in the Timed Shootout Final, with McLaren works driver Rob Bell putting the car’s extreme performance to the test, winning with precision in a time of just 45.01 seconds, over a second ahead of its nearest rival. The McLaren 720 GT3X was designed and developed in-house by McLaren Automotive’s motorsport division, McLaren Customer Racing, and is intended solely for track use. Weighing just 1,210kg and with a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine producing 720PS (with an additional 30PS available via a push-to-pass system), it is not restricted to racing and has a power-to-weight ratio of 620PS per tonne.
