It is a rather complicated winter for the McLaren, but maybe we start to see a flash of light on the last day of testing in Bahrain. On the second day of Sakhir Lando Norris managed to complete only 60 laps, with several problems especially with the braking system that forced the MCL36 to the pits for some time. In addition, Daniel Ricciardo’s positivity to Covid adds further criticality to the work plans of the Woking team, which in any case will try to do as many kilometers as possible in this last day with only Norris.
However, the British technicians can smile and hope: just in the morning, in fact, a new package of updates which primarily concerns the braking system and that could put an end to the many problems of overheating seen in recent days. This was confirmed by team principal Andreas Seidl ad Auto Motor und Sportadding that “The hope is to be able to complete longer long runs today”.
