A new light tank with an uninhabited turret was spotted in China
A new light tank with an uninhabited turret, which due to its layout can be considered an analogue of the Russian T-14 Armata, was noticed in China. In the photo of two cars noticed “Russian newspaper”.
The tank turrets in the photographs are covered with tarpaulin, but most of the external structural elements are clearly visible. The publication suggested that the new vehicle is based on elements of the ZTQ-15 light tank. The vehicle, produced since 2016, is equipped with a 105 mm cannon with an automatic loader. The tank weighing 33 tons received a 1000 horsepower engine.

The new tank could receive a gun of the same caliber, which is complemented by a remote-controlled combat module with a machine gun or automatic grenade launcher. Like the ZTQ-15, the new vehicle received a chassis with six road wheels. The sides of the hull are covered with screens, which may contain composite protection panels.
In March, the DPRK army conducted exercises with new tanks that are similar in appearance to the Russian T-14 Armata. The vehicles, which received the Western designation M2020, received a 125 mm smoothbore cannon, Bulsae-3 anti-tank missiles, a machine gun and an automatic grenade launcher.
