Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Mazatlán, pearl of the beautiful Mexican Pacificland of traditions and banda music, welcomed more than 320 players with open arms to inaugurate the state soccer championships Youth A, Youth B and First Youth categories.
Authorities, family, friends and fans welcomed the delegations of young soccer players and coaches to the opening ceremony held at the Toledo Corro Sports Unit.
On behalf of the Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benitez Torresthe Secretary of the City Council, Edgar Augusto González Zataráindeclared the selective in which the delegations of the Leagues participate: Ahome Asoditef, Ahome Municipal, Culiacan Municipal, Culiacan Prodemuas well as Municipal corn, Guasave Municipal and the home delegation, Imdem Mazatlan.
“The Mayor is very committed to youth, to education, but above all to the issue that concerns us here today, sports, the Mayor, Chemist Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, has been constantly promoting the creation of new spaces for the development of our children and young people, as well as the well-being of all their families. You are all welcome,” said González Zataráin.
Enrique Rivera Ornelason behalf of the director of Imdem, Fabiola Green Rosesurged the players to demonstrate their skills with the ball and to play fair in each of the games, in order to qualify for the national round that awaits them in the following months.
“It’s time for you to show on the court what you train every day. Success for all and that the best won,” he said.
Other guests of honor who were present at the opening were Luis Arnulfo Vargas Montes, director of the Municipal Youth Institute; Miguel Angel Felix Lopez, president of the Afoesac; Manuel Mancilla Jimenez, President of the Municipal Football Committee; as well as Benjamín Juárez, president of the Sinaloa Referees Commission.
