The Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly expanding and is now in Phase 4a phase full of characters that began in July 2021 with the film Black Widow dedicated to the figure of Natasha Romanoff played by the extraordinary Scarlett Johansson, and which will continue with the highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be released in Italy on May 4th of this year.
With eleven films already, between releases and releases, Phase 4 has already equalized the number of films of Phase 3. It is therefore necessary to count the characters who have been confirmed in this last, but only for now, phase of the MCU.
Obviously, the count will also take into account the characters who have appeared or will appear in the TV series of Phase 4which will then enrich the roster of characters already very rich in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Suffice it to say that, at the moment, among confirmed characters and alleged apparitions, we far exceed one hundred units. A sensational number, but not too much, if we take into account that this phase is currently made up of eleven films and several TV series.
And many others, perhaps new ones, will come. An extraordinary mix of characters and special appearances (which, in truth, have not been counted) that has returned extraordinary success stories to the screen and that fans are clamoring for.
Many characters, after the events of Endgame, have left the scene, but the events we witnessed in Spider-Man: No Way Home teach us that nothing is impossible for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that, therefore, we will probably find ourselves having to deal with more or less welcome returns.
Let’s look at the upcoming events, both in home vision and in the cinema, to be followed with great attention. As mentioned, the next MCU movie to hit theaters is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. First, however, Moon Knight will arrive on Disney +, which will make its debut on March 30. Then it will be up to Ms. Marvel, also on Dinsey +, in June, and to Thor: Love and Thunder which will hit theaters in July.
We conclude the Marvel Cinematic Universe products coming out in 2022 with the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever film which will arrive on November 11 in the United States. On the TV series front, 2022 will also be the year of I am Groot and She Hulk, as well as a Halloween and a Christmas special dedicated, respectively, to Werewolf and Guardians of the Galaxy.
