The Board of Directors of the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute (IBP) approved, on Tuesday, 4, the appointment of the president of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard, to assume the presidency of the Institute’s board. Magda was unanimously elected member of the Board of Directors until the end of the term of the current board, in March 2025, informed the IBP.
“It is with great satisfaction that I assume the presidency of the Board of Directors of IBP, an institution that, for 66 years, has been dedicated to the advancement of a competitive and sustainable industry. I will work with the Council seeking solutions to the challenges of the oil and gas sector, in favor of the continuous development of our industry and committed to energy security”, said Magda Chambriard in a statement released by IBP.
Magda took over Petrobras on May 24, replacing Jean Paul Prates.
