Lukashenka announced the death of 20 Belarusians who fought on the side of Ukraine
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the death of 20 Belarusians who fought on the side of Kyiv. His words convey TASS.
He reported that Regiment named after Kastus Kalinouski came under fire from Russian artillery.
They came under fire, the battle began – and they ran away together with the Ukrainians. There are several dozen of ours there, fugitives, and Ukrainians. Twenty people from the Kalinovsky regiment remained there.
Lukashenka specified that the incident took place a few days ago. He also instructed the Belarusian special services to provide relevant information to the public about the Belarusians fighting in Ukraine.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that the Belarusians who joined the volunteer legions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) do not want to fight. According to him, those who wanted to fight were mostly “put at checkpoints”, but there they “turned out to be not very good.” “They gathered there, drank, ate. The restaurant was good – at the time of their collection. And then – to the front or to posts. No. Ukrainians say: “Well, we will prepare you for the future armed revolution in Belarus,” the head of state concluded.
An attempt to strike at military facilities in Belarus
Lukashenko recalled that a few days ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to strike at military facilities on the territory of Belarus. However, he noted, the Belarusian servicemen managed to intercept all the missiles with the help of the Pantsir air defense systems.

After that, the Belarusian president ordered the military to target the decision-making centers of the enemies of Minsk. The politician also noted that they are trying to draw the country into military operations against Ukraine. “The goal is the same – to deal with both Russia and Belarus in one fell swoop. They allegedly worry, they say from Ukraine that they would not want Belarusian troops to invade Ukraine through the northern border,” Lukashenka said.
“Resist and survive in a blazing world”
Earlier, Lukashenka called on Belarusians to “resist and endure” in the current difficult situation. He also called his country an island of calm and warned of a “blazing world” around, in which Belarus “will not be given rest.”

Subsequently, Lukashenka speculated about geopolitical processes, stating that “as in the last century, civilized Western Europe first raised a monster called fascist Germany, and then, in order to survive, threw itself into the arms of those whom until recently it so strongly wished defeat. History repeats itself. The monster is being raised in Ukraine,” the Belarusian president said. Lukashenka added that the neighbors of Belarus and Ukraine openly talk about the annexation of border territories and “glance” at them.
